Two Classic's, A live Double CD And An Over Looked Album (2008-07-23) Anyone growing up in the early 1980's would remember this version of Sabbath. After two horrible records with Ozzy (Never Say Die, Technical Ecstasy) the band finally fired Ozzy (Don't get me wrong the first four Sabbath CD'd with Ozzy are near perfect CD's)and picked up ex Rainbow singer Ronnie James Dio. This line up of Dio, Iommi, Butler and Appice (Bill Ward Plays on Heaven and Hell but not the rest)put out two of the best metal records of the 1980's. Heaven and Hell and the Mob Rules are solid CD's from start to finish. There is no way to over praise these two records. Then came the double live CD Live Evil. Disc one is heavy and tight. Ronni is in great voice and the mix is amazing. The second disc is good but it suffers from what all 80's live albums suffer from? Solo's!!! and in the case of this CD too much talking. That being said the playing is as solid as the first CD. I still feel it is a great live album. Then the band broke up and got back together in the early 90's for Dehumanizer. Not the bands best outting but still worth hearing even if it's just for the track "I". This could be one of the best Black Sabbath songs ever written. This is the first time any of these CD's have been remastered in North America and you really can not beat the price. The four CD's (ones a double) come in a hard black bow with some really nice artwork on it. If you are a fan of harder music you have to check this out. Except for three songs off a greatest hits and a live CD under the name Heaven and Hell this is their total output. In closing each CD comes with great liner notes.
