Lots of Fun (2008-01-02) David Guetta returns with a much better CD than 2006's 'F*** Me I'm Famous', although this CD is different than the previous one in that it contains all Guetta originals.Based on 2006's 'Love Don't Let Me Go (Walking Away)' (which is included as the final track on this CD), Guetta has developed a distinctive sound. The lead-off track 'Baby When The Light' contains cutesy female vocals, a driving dance beat, rhythm bass and is a dancefloor favourite. The crunching vocal harmonies, part of Guetta's trademark sound, play a large role in the next track 'Love is Gone', which also contains an infectious beat.'Everytime We Touch' again has the winning vocal harmonies and dance beat, but has a catchy keyboard riff which is very Euro-sounding. The track which follows 'Delirious', is an uplifting dance-pop tune with golden female vocals and an amazing beat and rhythm bass which takes the crowd all the way home. The goodness continues with 'Tomorrow Can Wait', with its addictive 'Love Don't Let Me Go'-esque bassline and beat. Guetta knows a good thing when he finds it and uses it to his advantage. This follows with 'Winner Of The Game' an un-apologetically French-sounding pop song, which for some reason reminds me of ABBA (probably because they had a song with a similar title, although the sound is completely different).'Do Something Love' starts off great, but for some reason it fails to deliver, possibly due to lack of a strong beat and additional layers of sound, whilst 'You're Not Alone' kicks off with an awesome rhythm bass and beat, moving into a plaintive piano and female vocal, then back to the pumping beat and bass. The next few tracks are unimpressive: the bass of 'Never Take Away My Freedom' sounds similar to Felix's 1992 dancefloor classic 'Don't You Want Me' but without the magic of that track; 'This Is Not A Love Song' is not a dancetrack either; 'Always' just doesn't quite get there. As quirky as it sounds, 'Joan Of Arc' is actually quite good. Not surprising that the French would write a song about one of their most famous heroines. A remix of 'Love Is Gone' follows. Like most remixes, it outdoes the original, with shining keyboard chords and a massive thumping beat.
