First 2 DVD's Good, 3rd one, Garbage (2008-01-28)

This is a boxed set that comes with 3 DVDs, all about dinosaurs. The first DVD is about the animals that evolved into dinosaurs, some sort of monsters. Alot of computer animations used - and done quite well. Its an interesting look at what the world was like millions of years ago. The second DVD is all about the dinosaurs, and what it was like when they roamed the earth. Again, the DVD is good, interesting to watch, and has a lot of neat cinematography. The third DVD, however, is a waste of time, and actually quite irritating. It features an austrailian man who is inserted into the scenery with the dinosaurs as though he is really there. I purchase documentaries for my kids to watch so that they can sort of see what the facts are. By placing a person in the documentary, it totally blows the theory that you tell your kids that the dinosaurs are dead. Even if that wasn't an issue that bothers you, the guy on the video is very annoying. He has a giant scale that he places in the path of oncoming dinosaurs, and when they run across, he gasps as he tells you the weight of the creature that it registers as they walk by. How ridiculous. In another part, he is casually sitting next to some kind of flying bird dinosaur in its nest that is twice his size. Yes, it sounds as dumb as it looks. So, in summary, buy the first two DVD's separately.
