Another classic from Glass and Naxos (2007-03-25)

A wonderful contemporary composer - more superb Glass compositions in the American Classics Series at the unbeatable Naxos price. An excellent rendition of the Heroes Symphony by the Bournemouth Symphony. I'm no expert but it sounds great to me - crisp, nuanced, plenty of detail - no mush to the quality of the sound. Beautfully produced, good liner design and notes. Incredible value - Naxos are the Penguin paperbacks of Classical Music - excellent quality, beautiful design, and inexpensive. Classical music experts would have a more finely tuned ear than me, and may find flaws, but I love Philip Glass' music and I have no complaints about this version of Heroes.
