San Andreas - some welcome improvements from previous titles (2007-01-15)

Despite the "hot coffee" controversy that nearly killed the shelf life of the game, Rockstar has once again delivered a step up in the Grand Theft Auto series. Although rampages and hidden packages have disappeared, oysters and 2 player rampages have taken their place. The wardrobe, dating/girlfriend, dancing and gambling aspects of the game are mini games in of themselves. While Vice City wasn't a huge step from Liberty City, San Andreas is quite the step up from Vice City. As usual, the soundtrack tries to remain loyal to the period, with mixes of hip-hop, country and hard rock as well as social commentary presented as "commercials" on the city radio stations.Even though this game can be extremely addictive and time-consuming, especially if you attempt to play the entirety of the story, for those dying to play more of this series, it is an essential.
