Your blood will chill every time you turn the corner... (2007-03-25)

You're an FBI investigator on the on the trail of a serial killer known as 'The Matchmaker.' At the scene of the latest crime, the suspect is spotted and a chase ensues. Armed with your MAG-light and gun, you take chase. But when things take a turn for the worse, you're knocked out cold, your gun is stolen from you, and you wake up back in your apartment, framed for the death of two colleagues killed with your gun.Condemned takes First Person perspective games to a whole new level. Where a variety of guns were once the focus of most first person games, this one mixes that right up. The focus is on first person Melee instead, with weapons like 2x4's, conduit, locker doors, sledgehammers, axes, and pipes will be your main arsenal. Junkies in the slums of Manhattan will come at you with anything they can find as well. They will feint, they will parry your blows, they will run and hide, and counterattack. Got to give credit to the developers on this one, the combat system is second to none. Physics are superb with your enemies reacting to every blow, every block, every stumble.When not fighting for your life against psycopathic junkies, you're trying to track down the Matchmaker and clear your name of any wrong doing. the chase will lead you down many a dark, dingy corridor with only your MAG light to light your way. Don't worry though, the battery never runs out (but it does flicker now and then, for added affect). Your chase will lead you through numerous other crime scenes where you'll be able to use a variety of forensic equipment CSI style. In addition to all this fun stuff, your character also has the innate ability to see things others can't. This ability grants you the ability to predict the short-term future, and comes suddenly, with little warning.Every conceivable aspect of suspense was taken into consideration for this game. Dark environments, unexpected ambushes, and wonderfully engineered sounds will make you jump just by accidently doing something as innocent as bumping your foot into a trash can. The constant first person perspective makes every event incredibly interesting to behold. Ever wonder what it would look like to take a tumble down an escalator? try this game out. ;)As the game progresses, your visions get progressively more intense, the junkies start acting more inhuman, and the chase gets gradually weirder and weirder. And while everything you see in the game plays out as if everything was perfectly normal, you won't be able to keep from thinking you might not be as sane as you think you are...

Great scary game with action and CSI moments (2006-10-06)

If you like to be scared, play this in the dark with the volume turned up, it is a scary game, with great sound design (that won awards), it has replay value and is worth buying. Plenty of action and some (few) investigative moments
