The enigmatic and secretive cult favourite performer Leon Redbone produces a classic sound in this wonderful album. Noone is sure of his name, date of birth or family history. But one thing is sure: he has a wonderful voice and a poetic way with words and music. He brings together a unique combination of St Lois jazz, vaudeville, parisienne romanticism and you can almost hear Dr John in there somewhere! This is music for any time.
