Love this workout (2007-05-17)  Borrowed this from the library and enjoyed so much that I bought this one and the original one. I don't like Kathy's aerobics workouts but I love these one's for lifting weights. Better than the Denise Austin one's where I don't feel I've really done anything after them.
Awesome Workout (2007-04-25)  I liked this workout as much as her first video. This one is better because it has a warm up and stretching at the end which the first one does not have. I like the upper body better on the first video and the lower on this one. This one also has a bonus ball section. The both have a bonus ab section.If you really want to treat yourself, buy both videos and alternate the works outs. For example:Monday - Lift Weights 1 - Upper (then run 5 km's)Tuesday - Lift Weights 1 - Lower (bike 5 - 10 km's)Wednesday - Another routine for a break - say a Ball workout (then run 5 km's)Thursday - Lift Weights 2 - Upper (then bike 5 - 10 km's)Friday - Lift Weights 2 - Lower (then run 5 km's)Drink 10 glasses of water a day, have some walks and stretches over the weekend, eat lots of fresh low-fat food and smile!
Best Work Out Video By Far (2007-04-14)  I have been working out for years. Mostly at a gym but when the local gym closed down I needed something to keep me in shape along with my regular walking, running and biking. I do cardio on my own but needed something to workout my strength and tone.I am very knowledgable when it comes to weight training and I was HIGHLY impressed with this particular video. I have over 30 work out videos, this one is the best.If you are serious about shaping and toning your body, this is the workout for you. It is perfect for the beginner to the advanced. If you are a beginner, you really need to start with lower weights and lower repetitions, do not try to stay with the pace of the video. Work up your reps and weights at your own pace.Kathy is a little too gun ho and overboard in this video but she'll keep you going when your muscles are burning.5/5 in my books! My arms are STILL rubber as I type this! Wait until tomorrow!
Too fast paced and rushed (2005-06-03)  Normally Kathy Smith videos are tolerable and easy to follow because she is thorough in her instructions on proper form and movement but in this workout, that is not the case. This video does not reflect any of those points at all. I stopped halfway through during the upper body workout because she basically rushed from exercise to exercise. I thought that in weight training, the exercises are done in a controlled and smooth manner? Kathy just races through and I find that dangerous and less effective. I also couldn't STAND listening to her holler and shout any longer which is why I shut off the television. It just bothered and annoyed the heck out of me. The lower body workout was OK but again she just went too fast with the whole workout. I basically found the workout poorly instructed and irritating. Also, her crew in the background seem uninterested as some have taken up conversation with the others in the group while working out. Lastly, this tape could also cause injuries for someone just starting out.
Great Workout! (2004-07-01)  I have no time to workout as a stay at home mom of two kids - 27 and 9 months old. I bought this DVD to try to get a little weight training in and in only 20 minutes I get a great workout! I love it! If I can find 20 minutes to do it anyone can. The DVD is easy to follow and Kathy is not annoying at all. I was able to find the bonus routines quite easily, you need to go to the next screen(there is a little arrow on the bottom). I like that I can do a 10 min. segment on arms and a 10 mins segment on legs and I'm done, or I can do all arms or all legs. Either way it is only 20 mins!
