This 1988 animated feature from Don Bluth (An American Tail) focuses on an orphaned young dinosaur, Littlefoot, who has to make his way to the paradise of the Great Valley in order to survive a plague. Along the way, he meets up with some other dinos from different species, and they all bond and travel together. On the way, they have plenty of adventures. Even with elements of suspense, this is a pretty relaxed movie that isn't in a particular hurry to roll out its story. Kids will like the originality of the concept, and the themes of friendship and cooperation are well woven into the fabric of the entertainment, plus the music is great. Bluth's artwork looks good, though--as always--he never seems to quite catch up with the quality of the Disney machine. --Tom Keogh

This movie is absolutely beautiful and wonderful I give this movie 2 thumbs up.I am interested in dinosaurs, I've even seen this movie so many times.And I consider Littlefoot, Cera, Spike, Ducky, Petrie, and even Rooter as my friends.This movie is the best.Also the kind of dinosaur Ducky, her parents, her brothers and sisters are called the Saurolophus.And the kind of pterosaur Petrie, his mother, his bothers and sisters are called the pteranodons since they have certian crests on the back of their heads.

This movie is definitely a five star movie. Everyone should watch this movie and I know they will enjoy it as much as I do. I own ever movie that has came out and I can watch them over and over.

I was born the year it came out (2004-06-27)

This movie was one of the first movies that I saw. It was one of the best movies and is still today. I have seen all of them except the newest one. This movie is a classic. you should buy it for your kids. Happy anniversy!

I saw The Land Before Time when I was around three, I'm twelve now and I still love it. This is a really great movie. I would definitly reccomend it to anyone.
