Debbie Gibson never recorded anything as sexy as Britney Spears's white-funk smoker "...Baby One More Time." Unfortunately, neither does the 17-year-old Spears's debut album contain anything else that remotely approaches that instant hit single. A few of the disc's cuts are pleasantly catchy, but too much of its space is given over to icky ballads ("E-Mail My Heart"?) and other unconvincing moves such as the dancehall-lite "Soda Pop." --Rickey Wright

Britney Spears - The Best Pop Star Ever! (2007-06-04)

This CD has to be the absolute best pop CD ever made! From its catchy singles to its beautiful ballads, Britney Spears did such a great job singing these songs...Baby One More Time - My all time favourite song. This has to be the best pop single ever! (Seeing as it spent two years on the charts!) 10/10(You Drive Me) Crazy - Also a good pop song. Sort of like BOMT, but also different. However, I like the STOP Remix better... 9/10Sometimes - Very cute little song with a simple and sweet melody. 9.5/10Soda Pop - Different. Very Soulful and teen popish. 7.5/10Born To Make You Happy - Lovely Song. This is a mid-tempo ballad with a very powerful bridge. This song is always stuck in my head. 9.5/10From The Bottom Of My Broken Heart - Sad but pretty song. My favourite Britney ballad. 9.5/10I Will Be There - Very catchy, free spirited song. I'm surprised this song wasn't released as a single or that it wasn't a bigger hit. 9/10I Will Still Love You - This song is a duet with Don Phillips. It's okay but I think it would have been better if Britney had sung it alone or just with someone else other that Don Phillips... 8/10Thinkin' About You - Very teen pop. 8/10Email My Heart - Beautiful ballad. Her voice sounds so natural and pretty on this track. 9/10The Beat Goes On - Kind of electronic pop. Not great but not too bad either... 7.5/10

I LOVE BRITNEY SPEARS!!! (2004-07-17)

I have all four of the CDs, I've been heard about Britney Spears since the year 2000 (that's when I'm 12 years old). I bought this CD first, then the Oops! I Did It Again, then her third album, and her newest album "In The Zone". After I get all four of her full-length albums, I import all of her CDs by using iTunes and downloaded all of Britney's songs onto my iPod. I also title a playlist "Britney Spears", then I put all of Britney's songs from her four albums in the playlist, starting from the first album. She has a total of 48 songs from all four of her full-length albums. That's like almost 3 hours of continuously playing music, or you can play like one new song per day for the next 7 weeks.

Britney Spears debuted onto the pop charts in 1998 with her breakout hit "...Baby One More Time," a No. 1 chart-breaking hit and Grammy nominee. Her first album of the same name is gorgeous pop fun and came out when I was in 8th grade in January 1999. ...Baby One More Time should've won Album of the Year at the Grammys and Miss Spears should've won Best New Artist. Favorite hits are "...Baby One More Time," "Drive Me Crazy," "Sometimes," "Born to Make You Happy," "From the Bottom of My Broken Heart," "I Will Be There," and, well, every song excluding track "Email My Heart." This album is one of the most famous and best-selling of the modern era and you've got to admit, Britney Spears is the bomb!
