another great solo effort! (2005-06-20)

Robert Plant just keeps getting better with every project he does, i will always be a Plant fan for his dedication and presentation of his majestic music
One of the few GREAT postzepp albums by Plant. (2003-07-16)

Maybe "thru with the two step" [isn't great], but the album is fairly consistently good. It really isn't as bad as one would think judging by some of the things he would release in the future like "walking into clarksdale" and "Now and Zen." This was really a fair attempt to move forward for Plant and for the most part it WORKED. It isn't Led Zeppelin , but it is good and interesting if you like the softer side of Zepp- this really isn't too much an eighties sound for Plant, YET, Plant slowly lets go of the 70s here. Good if your interested in the careers of Led Zeppelin after the split, and entertaining in a mellow way not rocking at all.
Taking a step back (2003-02-12)

It's rather refreshing to see such an accomplished singer as Robert Plant take a step back from the self-indulgent bombasity that marked - and marred - some of Led Zep's later works, and turn out such a fine album as "The Principle of Moments." This is a consistent work, full of simple songs well-performed and sung. "In the Mood" still hold up after all these years as an excellent song, dreadfull video notwhithstanding. There are no real rockers here - all of the songs on this CD are mellow, introspective, generaly pleasent to listen to - again and again.
First of his classical albums (2002-11-20)

This one I bought a few months after it came out. But, it grew on me, and now Big Log is my classical song, the song of the songs.
PLANT'S BEST POST-ZEP (2001-12-13)

This is simply one of the best rock albums of the early 80's, a clever blending of musical styles of the day. Phil Collins is on board for most of the tracks, kicking (...) just before he went the path of lameness where he resides today. With Collins' beautifully intricate beats, Robbie Blunt's ethereal guitar and compositions full of light and just enough keyboards, Plant delivers the finest solo offering of his career to date. "Thru With The Twostep" is worth the price of the disc alone. "Big Log" expresses something that is inexpressible in words.

No, this isn't Zeppelin, but it's a small piece of them.
