Bob and Margaret probably love one another, but it's hard to tell from their animated adventures, created in England (a short, Bob's Birthday, won an Oscar) and broadcast in the United States on Comedy Central. But that's just part of their charm--they're miffed at everything, including each other, just like any other noncartoon couple.
This collection includes a couple of minor gems. In "The Burglary," B&M are robbed and attempt an even bigger scam--insurance fraud. "Trick or Treat" finds Bob learning of the death of a college chum he doesn't even remember and being sent into paroxysms of cosmic reflection (he hopes his dead relatives aren't watching him, he says, "because I have a lot of nasty habits"). Fans and completists will find this essential; more casual viewers might want to stick to sampling individual tapes (volumes 4 and 6 are more satisfying than volume 5). --David Kronke

Stick with the first set! (2003-03-09) Although a bit humorous, Vol 4-6 were nowhere near as funny as Vol. 1-3. One show was down-right depressing. I'm bloody near ready to send them back! I counted my laughs on one hand.
So real,So funny,Must Have Series! (2001-10-01) Can't stress enough how enjoyable this series is,a wonderful creation and best animated series I've seen or could ever relate to.Great for the young, old, single or married, everyone can relate and have fun watching the adventures these two go through. Its a must buy!
Plain Funny (2000-07-05) More observational humour and I couldn't stop laughing! I am a die-hard Bob and Margaret fan, so I jumped to buy this when realeased. Poking fun at everything that small in life, you will feel like watching an animated Seinfeld. I really wish the U.S. would give more attention to Bob and Margaret.
