An Awesome Scooby Doo Video (2004-07-16) I loved this movie, and thought it was one of the best Scooby Doo videos I've ever seen. There's action, laughs, and even some romance. I love it when there are a lot of hints of Daphne/Fred, and there are quite a few in this movie. The music is really good too. One of the great things about this movie is the characters aren't running around aimlessly, not that there is anything wrong with any of the Scooby Doo episodes (I loved them too). There is a real, exciting plot. Summary: Mystery Inc. has seperated, and Daphne is a reporter. She is trying to find real ghosts for her new show. Fred reunites Mystery Inc. and they travel, solving mysteries and looking for real ghosts. A girl working at a market, Lena, overhears them talking about looking for ghosts and offers to bring them to Moonscar Island, where Simone, her employer's, house is being haunted. The gang goes and finds that there are zombies, cat creatures, and ghosts!
My daughter loves it... (2004-05-12) Like most Scooby movies my daughter was glued to this one. I myself didn't pay that much attention to it but if my daughter was able to sit still as long as she did then I know it's a good one for the little ones. My daughter has many movies & Scooby is one of the only ones that will hold her attention for very long. Recommended for the little ones for sure.
Not for small children (2004-04-16) I have two preschoolers who LOVE Scooby Doo (as I did when the shows were 1st run). I mistakenly got this tape, thinking it couldn't be bad. This is MUCH less funny and more graphic than the original series. There is no carefree mood in this movie that I could find. It is fine for grown ups, but small kids will be horrified. My oldest had bad dreams for a week from watching it one time.
Fun to watch (2004-01-13) My two children, age six and three, never get bored of this movie. I must admit, I enjoy viewing it with them. You don't have to be a big Scooby Doo fan to sit through this flick. It gets two thumbs up from my family.
Too Scary!!!! (2003-12-11) I grew up watching the old Scooby cartoons on TV, and my 5-year old son now loves the cartoons and movies too. I have purchased several of the movies for him, and most of them have been fine, but this one is too scary for his age group. There are dead people rising from graveyards and walking around scaring people. Too dark and evil for me--I gave it away. Choose something less scary if you have younger children (age 3 to 10).
