Editorial Reviews
From Amazon.com

Oh, the wonderful things Mr. Brown can do! In this "Book of Wonderful Noises," Mr. Brown struts his stuff, as he imitates everything from popping corks to horse feet ("pop pop pop pop" and "klopp klopp klopp," respectively) while inviting everyone to join him in the fun. Young readers who are still learning their sounds and letters will get a wacky workout as they follow along with the very serious-looking, squinty-eyed Mr. Brown. Whether it's eggs frying in a pan or a hippo chewing gum, the skillful Mr. Brown just keeps topping himself, with a "sizzle sizzle" or a "grum grum grum." "Mr. Brown is so smart he can even do this: he can even make a noise like a goldfish kiss!... pip!" As usual, the words and pictures of Dr. Seuss make reading (and making all sorts of funny noises) impossible to resist. Mr. Brown Can Moo! Can You? will stay fresh through many a giggling reading. --Paul Hughes

My 30 month old can moo too! (2008-09-22)

My 30 month old loves this book! Some of the sounds he makes spontaneously with the pictures (at times "reading" it independently by making the sounds and gestures we have made up looking at the pictures), and with others he echoes me. He asks for the book by name ("moo") and likes it so much he sleeps with it sometimes. I agree with the other reviewers regarding Sandra Boynton's "Moo, Baa, LaLaLa", which is another of his favorites.
Interesting and enjoyable (2006-12-06)

Out of the dozens of board books we have been given and purchased for our infant, she enjoys this one best of all. Our four month old enjoys sitting on our laps, looking at the bright illustrations, and listening to us make animal sounds. A fun, rhythmic book which baby can grab and really sink his or her gums into. I highly recommend this book, along with Sanda Boynton's two books "Barnyard Dance" and "Moo, Baa, La La La!" books for infants and toddlers. My recommendation for older kids is Why Some cats are rascals
One of her favs (2006-06-25)

If you you have a kids even somewhat interested in books this book is great. Out of a hundred books or so this is a favorite in my daughter's collection.
Mr. Brown is a Wonder ! (2005-09-12)

my voice is literally hoarse from reading this one to my 14-month old. She can't get enough of Mr. Brown and all the "wonderful things he can do". And contrary to another reviewer's comments, I have found this (and her other Dr. Seuss board books) to be very sturdy and they have had a Lot of abuse !
Fun reading, but not very sturdy (2004-07-20)

I have bought several of the Dr. Suess Bright and Early Board Books, and they simply don't stand up to the abuse a toddler dishes out. None of the other board books we own have fallen apart the way these have.
